Working Life - Week 2

My 2nd week at YTL , i was posted on duty supervising another site from the same double track railway project here's some preview on it.


Pile Load Test - My Sub-Contractors are basically beneath that huge gigantic rocks ( FYI : 300 Tonnes ) for 72 hours continuous taking readings from the gauge installed beneath it and i am suppose to check out their recorded that to ensure there is no cheating and the calculations are correct...imagine if that thing collapsed..~scary~

Working Life - Day 2

Ok now , an overview of my 2nd day at work...i left home abit later today around 7am with thinking in my mind that my supervisor wun not reach early anyway...as i drove slowly along the roads i managed to catch sum pictures of my current project which i posted below...moving along.....i reach there around 755 again....hehe i am not late after all....when i stepped into the office...it shocked me...the offices is packed...my supervisor is here, every1 is here! ...i guess sumting big is happening...but i wun be of help anyway...so i quietly walk to my table n continue reading those complicated drawings until lunch hour..after lunch...i came back and business is as usual..read read read...until a point that i got bored and asked my supervisor ' What is the difference between bore piling n micro pilling ?' Out of my expectation , he said , ' ru ready to go to the site?' ..Yes! finally! theres something new for me to learn besides drawing...so as i wore my safety apparel, mr diong said ' you go to the site and find this indon guy name 'lance' he will explain what micro piling is' =.=' gosh...i suddenly feel so stupid that an indon knows better then , but nvm is a learning process..they have hands on experience..so i proceed to the site ;

After the site visit..i went back to the office and mr.diong said ' i guess now you familiar with piling works...heres some design you need to know coz ull be handing a bridge construction in Batu Caves with another engineer. In my mind, there are mix feelings , 1st , i finally i am gonna have hands on experience which im longing but then thinking of Batu Caves ; OMG is very far approx another 1/2 hour from my office..in addition the distance from my hse is around 1 1/4 hrs everyday two n flow for me...OMG...can i afford the petrol bills~?? god~! help me ~!

Working Life - Day 1

My 1st day as a trainee civil engineer was that bad but isnt that good too....wanna know why? let me tell u....let me begin with the journey....630 am i left home...tot i was early so i went an grab a mcd bfast special which suppose to be rm4 ...but the smart waitress punched ala carte for me so it ended rm 7++ ...guess shes not awake...by the the time i realise it...i got no time to argue with her coz im already late for work...i just pay that amount and left *heartache*...nvm when i got into the highway...i missed the turning to my work place...ended up i need to pay twice ldp two just to get back there...*heartache*....dam!..im more late again now...so i speed all the way to jalan ipoh...finally reach there around 755...gosh...just in time... when i reach there wasnt any1 in the office until a clerk came and and ask 'lu siape'? i answered i am the new trainee under Mr.Diong(my supervisor)..she asked to wait awhile ..i waited and waited until is around 10am+ finally sumone from admin came talk to me and ask me to fillup the employee forms...after the forms...he told me that 'your tai lo haven't come to work' , u wait another half an hour..he sud reach...so i waited waited...*tick*tick* until 12pm my so called 'tailo' finally reach...by that time is already lunch...so he ask me 2 haf my lunch 1st ..so i went for lunch . After lunch , he started to brief what the project is about and then he asked me to stay in the office today to read design drawings which is expected..so from 1pm till finish work, i sat there and read the drawings which i totally dun understand a single thing...there goes my 1st day at work .i would to share with you all some pics that i took out of boredom

Match of The Week : Man Utd vs Arsenal

As the season draws closers to the end, all the teams are striving to give their best in order to achieve the season objectives set during the pre-season. This weekend we are entertain by one of the anticipated match-ups of the season. Man Utd vs Arsenal at Old Trafford . Both teams are set to renew old rivalries. This makes me to refresh back on the memories back then , we could see ex-captains Roy Keane and Patrick Vierra pitting their strength at the middle of the park and both Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger shouting at the sidelines..Those were the days...but this weekend things doesn't change much except now both teams has their new army with strengthen fire powers with Man Utd having their top scorer Christiano Ronaldo , 27 goals (BPL) and ever magnificient Wayne Rooney and Carlos Teves while Arsenal are also equipped with very much promising firepowers such as Adebayor , 19 goals (BPL) and Cesc Fabregas. This match up proves to be interesting. It is undeniable that this match could determine the course of the title chase with Man Utd heading the top of the pack with 77 points while Chelsea is 74 points and Arsenal not far away with 71 points .Arsenal will have revenge on their mind with 4-0 humilation in the FA Cup and getting knocked out from the European Champions League by Liverpool with a 5-3 aggregate. The league title is now the only hope for Arsene Wenger's young team to win any silverware this season while Sir Alex Ferguson is definetely looking to put a final blow to his old arch rival Wenger's miserable season besides setting an eye on the Champions League trophy. I would like to comment a little bit regarding the charges on the two undergraduate students from UIA and UM for participating in public political scenes...under the AUKU act which forbids undergraduates to be involved in politics....Reading this news makes me wonder...why do the government has such acts? Aren't we undergrads should be more aware on the general issues and political scenes in our country so that we are prepared for the world when we graduate . Maybe the government is aware that undergraduate our age are the most dangerous generation to them and the we are not mature enough yet to make decision of picking our own government...okay, i could understand their logic...but what if my uncle who is 35 years old who coincidently just applied for an undergraduate program from a local university just for the sake of learning and interest. Will he be charged if he is involved in politics?...hmmmmmm...

Anwar to mark end of political exile with rally

Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) is organising a "people's rally" at 8pm on April 14 at the Kelab Sultan Sulaiman in Kampung Baru here to mark the final day of party adviser and de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's exile from active politics. Some people called it the Black 14.But im sure it won't be a ' Black 14' for anwar as this marks Anwar's return to the political scene.At the same, 14th of April also marks the day i join YTL Corp Bhd as one of its employee....what a coincidence huh?? ..hmmm....great! On my 1st day at work...ill face a realli big jam back home ....lol..but anyway i wish PKR all the best in the people's rally...and people who wish to participate at the rally ...it will be held at the location stated above...be nice people...abide by the law

I am BACK!

Hey guys....i am back....it is been awhile since the last time i blogged.....i guess it was couple of years back when i use to blog to express my unhapiness...anyway....im back...this time i will blog practically everything in the world....from my life to politics to general public issues and etc...this will be my 1st post after a long long time....ill be back soon with couple of interesting issues and news happening in my life and in the country....after i refurbished my blog...stay tune....
